Method 1: Replacing ‘Powered by Shopify’ in Language Settings

This process would be similar to the one outlined above. The only exception is replacing the words ‘Powered by Shopify’ with your own tagline or some other text. Here’s how to do it:

1. Click on Online Store in the left-side navigation of your admin panel.
2. On Your Current Theme section, Click the “Actions” Dropdown.
3. Select “Edit languages.”
4. Search for Powered (the form will update)
5. Under the link section, you can replace it with what you please, and if your site is password protected, the field below will update the password page.

Method 2: Removing the Text from the Footer

Every time you visit your e-commerce store, you’ll immediately see the text ‘Powered by Shopify’ in your footer. It’s simple to remove the Standard Footer or have something else appear in its place. Here’s how to get started:

1. Click on Online Store in the left-side navigation of your admin panel.

3. Select “Edit Code.”
4. The left side column will display the theme files. Search for “footer.liquid”
5. Using the Find Command (Ctrl + F  or Command + F) search for “powered_by_link”
   • NOTE: if you can’t find the specific line of code in the footer.liquid file, check the theme.liquid file
6. Remove or replace everything including the opening curly braces “{{” and the closing curly braces “}}”

If you scroll down to the footer, you should see a message that says ‘Powered by Shopify’ is either gone or has been replaced.

Method 3: Removing the Text from the Password Page

The ‘Powered by Shopify’ text serves as a visual cue to visitors that your site is hosted on Shopify. Additionally, it allows visitors to provide feedback and leave comments on your site.
